The Baroness, also known as Anastasia Cisarovna, is a prominent antagonist in the G.I. Joe franchise. She serves as Cobra's intelligence officer and a key lieutenant to Cobra Commander.

Before her involvement with Cobra, her backstory varies across continuities. Some versions portray her as a disillusioned European aristocrat with a radical political ideology. Other accounts link her to a tragic past involving the death of her brother, allegedly connected to the Joe team.

Irrespective of the origin, she is consistently depicted as highly intelligent, skilled in espionage, and a deadly combatant. She is easily identifiable by her black leather outfit and distinct glasses, which have become iconic elements of her character.
